I must make a note to go back to a friend I met in Brevard.  Best Coffee and Tea was using SBC and was paying a big unit price for the benefit of so-called ancillary material like napkins.  The problem is by helping yourself through SBC you actuallyl are helping an arch enemy.  Starbucks.  They watch your sales and clearly if you do well they know they can open a store in the area and knock your head off.  They really don't give a darn about your investment or the home you may have pledged to the bank for the money to open the store.

So please think long term.  Promoting SBC and giving them your sales data is suicide.  You will need your own niche to really prosper.  This is not to say you can't use another brand name of coffee.  You can.  But select one where there is no risk of competition.

Local roasters that get your sales also get to thinking about your area.  So be very circumspect in your selection of a roasting partner.  One a long distance but short delivery time, like up to 2 days is a good choice.  

Stay away from giants.  I worked in big companies for 23 years and I assure you in theLike  executive ranks there is little concern for us independent business people, only that we pay back the loans.  the Wilmington Mall that signed an exclusive deal for coffee with Starbucks unnecessarily, big business is not on your side.  Be careful and aggressive.
