Fernanindina is a very nice Historic Seaport town.  It has lots of nice shops and two coffee stores that I saw, one open, and one closed.  The closed one is no longer in business and I ask that you give this a quick read on the page discussing Seattle's Best Coffee.

I rode through Fernanindina and then across Little Talbot Island and I guess it was Big Talbot Island and took quick looks at the State Parks on each Island.  Lots of Bird Viewing areas.

The beach is very much like our old home town, Ocean City New Jersey, Beach side homes for a million or more, a small lot across from the beach, but only a 100 yards or so for $645,000, which sounds good to me.

But, here one is likely to have a hurricane hit you.  In south Jersey this is not likely and might not happen in a lifetime.  I think 1962 was the last one to hit and do some serious damage.  Most of the hurricanes that run up the US coast skim NJ about 100 miles out to sea.  We all know what happens in Florida.

Perhaps that explains the difference in price.  Both beach front and lots would cost at least double.
