New Bern is a large active community with its share of malls outside of downtown.

Its Downtown District is beautiful.  We ate at the Cow Cafe which was a really fun experience and the food was pretty good too.  Everything in the place had a cow motif which is excellent marketing.

We were able to visit two Coffee Houses

Steve Frazzetta, a fellow Brooklyn native, operates Java Junction and Ed Ruiz operates Trent River Coffee Co. in downtown New Bern.
